About

Record your journeys and share live positions privately with your group. TrailRelay combines GPS route recording, private trip plans and Apple Maps destination guidance.

• Record, pause and save named trips; import and export GPX. • Plan a trip with ordered checkpoints, notes and photos. Invite friends privately by ID or QR, with view or edit permissions. • Start a shared plan from your own location. Each participant receives their own directions to the planned checkpoints. • Save changes to update participating devices automatically. • Search for places or hold the map to inspect a pin; preview driving or walking directions. • Use Apple CarPlay in a compatible vehicle for driving navigation and your group's SOS/Safe controls. • Download bounded map areas for offline use, check weather and prepare before departure. • Replay saved journeys at 2×, 4× or 8× and share an achievement image or video. • Report shared content and block unwanted invitations.

The first release is free. Trip chat is unavailable in this version. Live sharing, group alerts, place search and new road routes require internet. Downloaded maps do not guarantee offline turn-by-turn driving navigation.

SOS alerts participating TrailRelay devices; it does not automatically contact emergency services. Delivery depends on connectivity and notification settings. Maps and GPS can be inaccurate: obey signs, restrictions and local conditions.
