LocalStudio turns one recording into a finished episode: Episode Pack cuts the ums, cleans up the voice, writes show notes, makes a cover and renders captioned vertical clips, with every step processed on your iPhone or iPad.

Online editors make you upload your recordings and buy credits or a subscription to process them on someone else's server. LocalStudio runs every tool on the device: your media is copied into the app's private storage and never uploaded.

• Make an Episode Pack in one tap: LocalStudio cuts fillers, enhances the voice, writes a Post Kit, makes a cover and renders vertical clips from one recording, so you have everything you need to publish. • Transcribe with word timing: Apple's on-device speech recognition writes a timestamped transcript you can search, tap to jump the player, copy or export, so you can find any quote without scrubbing through the recording. • Cut vertical clips: LocalStudio picks up to five moments of continuous speech, keeps the speaker in frame and renders 1080×1920 clips with word-highlight captions, so a long video becomes short clips without manual reframing. • Clean up the audio: Trim Silence cuts pauses, Remove Fillers cuts "um" and "uh", and Enhance Voice isolates speech and levels loudness, so the episode sounds tighter without a timeline editor.

MORE TOOLS • Translate: translates transcripts and caption files on the device. Text only; the audio is not translated. • Post Kit: writes titles, a hook, a description, hashtags, key points, action items and chapter timestamps from your transcript. • Cover Maker: builds a titled thumbnail or cover in Wide 16:9, Square 1:1 or Tall 9:16, with optional subject lift. • Looks: applies color styles to photos and videos, with adjustable strength. • Remove Background: lifts the subject out of a photo, or people out of a video, onto a new backdrop. • Upscale 2×: doubles the resolution of photos up to 12 megapixels. • Shortcuts and Siri: "Transcribe with LocalStudio" and "Make an Episode Pack". CONVERT AND PDF • Convert Audio: converts a recording, or a video's soundtrack, to MP3, M4A or WAV. Choose Voice, Podcast, Music or Maximum quality and see the new size first. • Convert Video: switches between MP4, MOV and M4V. Keep the streams as they are or re-encode to H.264 (original size, 1080p or 720p) or HEVC (original size or 1080p). • Convert Image: converts between JPEG, PNG, HEIC and TIFF, can make the picture smaller and removes location and camera details before you share. • PDF: turns a picture into a PDF, exports a PDF's pages as JPEG, PNG or HEIC images, and saves transcripts and Post Kits as PDFs.

REQUIREMENTS • iOS 26 or later. • Post Kit, Apple Intelligence clip ranking and Illustration cover backdrops need a device with Apple Intelligence turned on. All other tools work without it. • Available speech and translation languages depend on your device. iOS downloads each language model from Apple once; it contains none of your media. • Projects stay on the device they were made on and are not included in iCloud Backup. Save the exports you want to keep to Photos or Files.

FREE AND PRO Transcription and plain-text export are free. Your first 3 Pro exports are free too, and a whole Episode Pack counts as one. LocalStudio Pro unlocks every tool, removes the watermark from vertical clips and adds SRT and VTT caption files and transcript PDFs.

Pro is available as an annual or monthly auto-renewing subscription, with a free first week for new subscribers, or as a one-time lifetime purchase that includes Family Sharing. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings.
