Row: One Line a Day, Years Ago

Row is a one-line journal. Open it, write a line about today, close it. That's the whole habit.

Write on the same date next year and the year after, and those lines stack up under each other. A few years in, every date becomes a small row of your own past.

• ONE LINE, SAVED WHEN YOU CLOSE Up to 140 characters a day. Press Return, swipe the sheet away, or leave the app. Your line is already saved.

• NOT SURE WHAT TO WRITE? ANSWER A QUESTION Write your line as the answer to a question. The question stays with the line, so you can see what it was answering when you read it again. You can add questions of your own, too.

• ON THIS DAY Below today's line you see what you wrote on this date one, two, five years ago, newest first. Share any one of them as a card.

• FILL IN ANY DAY Pick any earlier day and write it in. There are no streaks to break.

• ONE YEAR AGO, ON YOUR HOME SCREEN Two small widgets, Years Ago Today and Today's Line, plus Lock Screen widgets. Long-press Years Ago Today and choose Edit Widget to show 2 to 5 years back instead.

• BRING YOUR DIARY WITH YOU Import a CSV (date, text) from another app. Export everything to TXT or CSV anytime.

• AN EVENING REMINDER, IF YOU WANT ONE Turn on one quiet reminder at the time you choose. It skips the days you already wrote, and tapping it takes you straight to today's line.

• ON IPAD, TOO Row works on iPad in any orientation, with the text kept to a comfortable reading width.

• STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE No account and no ads. Your lines never leave your device. The network is used only to check your purchase status.

• ROW PRO Writing, answering a question and 3 questions of your own, filling in past days, On This Day and sharing a line as a card, browsing and search, the book preview, the small and Lock Screen widgets, the reminder, and export and import are free. Row Pro adds app lock with Face ID or your passcode (and hides your lines in widgets), the medium and large On This Day widgets that show several years at once, PDF books of a month or a year, and more than 3 questions of your own. Future Pro features are included at no extra cost.
