Pick a clip, choose how hard to squeeze, and get back a file you can actually send. A three-minute 4K video that email refuses comes back at a fraction of the size — and it still plays properly wherever you send it.

WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT

The result is checked before it is claimed. Every output is opened, measured and decoded before Pinch reports success. If a file cannot be made meaningfully smaller, it says so plainly instead of handing back a copy of what you started with. If a result does not come out intact, it is thrown away rather than saved.

Your original is never touched. Pinch reads your file and writes a new one somewhere else. There is no "replace original" mode, and nothing in the app deletes a file you selected.

Nothing is uploaded. Compression uses the video hardware already in your phone. No account, no server, no queue to wait in — and it works in airplane mode.

The quality decisions are made properly. HDR video stays HDR instead of coming back washed out. Portrait clips stay upright. Photo dates, camera details and location survive the round trip. An HEVC file stays HEVC; everything else is written as H.264, so it opens on the other person's computer.

Smallest — small enough to send anywhere. Balanced — much smaller, and still looks right on a phone. Quality — keeps the picture as it is and shrinks the file anyway.

No bitrate fields, no resolution menus. If you want those numbers you already know what they are; everyone else just wants the file under a limit somebody else set.

Pinch is free to use, with 300 MB of input per day. That covers a short clip or a batch of photos without thinking about it. The allowance is shown before you pick anything and resets at midnight.
