En bref

SwitchLog: Footage to Short turns long recordings, such as a full stream or a day of shooting, into finished videos and short clips for Mac users with Apple silicon. It splits a recording into separate videos, adds captions with your channel names spelled correctly, and processes everything on the device without uploading footage. A notable detail is that the whole edit and a watermarked preview are free, with no account needed.

À propos

Hours of raw footage in. A finished video and its shorts out.

Drop a whole stream or a day of shooting, pick long-form or shorts and a genre, and press once. SwitchLog finds the moments worth keeping, cuts them in order, tightens the pauses, and adds captions, sound effects and music. Then it offers the shorts each video can give.

ONE STREAM, SEVERAL VIDEOS A long recording is split into the videos inside it: a round, a talk topic, a meal. Each suggestion says where it starts and ends, why it's there, and what is said inside. Make the ones you want.

SHORTS THAT END ON A FINISHED LINE Every video offers 25 to 55 second shorts that open on a thought and end when the line is done. The best ones come first.

CAPTIONS THAT GET YOUR NAMES RIGHT Tell SwitchLog your channel name and nicknames once, and the captions spell them right. Pick from five caption looks. Fix a word once and it's fixed everywhere.

WATCH IT WORK A bar at the top of the window shows each stage of the edit, the percent done and the time so far, whatever screen you're on.

FINISH IN YOUR OWN EDITOR Send the cut to Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve or Premiere Pro, with the captions as SRT.

YOUR FOOTAGE STAYS ON YOUR MAC Everything runs on Apple silicon. Nothing is uploaded, and there are no credits or minute limits.

FREE UNTIL YOU EXPORT The whole edit and a watermarked preview are free, with no account. SwitchLog Pro unlocks unlimited exports: $19.99 a month or $149.99 a year. Cancel any time in your App Store account settings; a cancelled plan works until the end of the period you paid for.

Genres: Travel & Vlog, Food, Gaming, Talk, Makeup. Requires a Mac with Apple silicon. The first launch downloads about 3 GB of models once.
