FrameGap

FrameGap checks a folder of numbered image frames before you hand it to an editor, compositor, or finishing team. It groups each sequence by folder, filename stem, and number padding. A compact frame run reveals missing positions immediately, while the frame manifest keeps every file and its dimensions visible.

Inspect PNG, JPEG, TIFF, HEIC, EXR, DPX, BMP, and GIF sequences. FrameGap flags missing and duplicate numbers, mixed formats, unreadable headers, empty files, and unexpected dimension changes. By default it checks between the first and last observed frame; enter an expected range when your delivery calls for a specific head and tail. The expected range applies to every sequence in the folder. Open a sample sequence from the welcome screen to try the workflow.

Export a PDF report for review or a CSV frame list for production tracking. Recent inspection results stay on your Mac. Source images are never changed, uploaded, or copied to a developer server. There is no account, subscription, advertising, analytics, tracking, or in-app purchase.

FrameGap is a local preflight aid. Confirm the intended first and last frame and any requirements outside the inspected folder against the production brief.
