Backward - Daily Time Capsule

Some days change your life. Others are worth remembering just as they were.

Backward brings back the photos you took, the music released on this day, and the words you wrote, all connected by the same date across the years.

Open it with your morning coffee to see what today looked like last year, five years ago, or further back. Photos and videos from your library are grouped by year, ready to explore.

At the end of the day, leave a line for your future self. A small win, a conversation, or something that made you laugh. A sentence or two is plenty. Next year on this date, your note returns alongside the ones from years before. Over time, your journal grows a little each day.

Connect your music library to rediscover albums and songs released on this date.

Make looking back part of your day: - Set morning and evening reminders at times you choose. - Track your daily visits and writing streak. - Keep memories on your Home Screen and check your daily progress from the Lock Screen. - Open today’s memories or start a note with Siri, Shortcuts, and Control Center. - Enable date browsing to explore any day of the year. - Arrange your Today screen, choose an accent color, and pick your app icon. - Leave out individual photos, videos, screenshots, or entire albums without removing them from your library. - Search your journal, import past entries, and export your notes.
