Chroma: Daily Color Diary

Take one photo a day and pick the color it gives you. By December your year is a grid of colors you can read at a glance.

Chroma is a diary without words. You do not write, you look: at the sky on the way to work, the coat of the person ahead of you in the queue, the light in the kitchen. The app finds the colors in your photo, and you choose the one that was your day.

PICK THE COLOR, NOT A FILTER

Chroma offers up to five colors from each photo, the most vivid always among them, and every color has a name: storm blue, sage, terracotta. You can change your pick all day long, and add one word if the day asks for it.

A YEAR IN ONE LOOK

My year shows every day as a square, twelve months side by side. Switch to the strip and the year becomes one long gradient, from winter greys to summer ochres. Tap any day to see its card and its photo.

A CARD WORTH SHARING

Every day makes a card: the color edge to edge, its name, the date and your photo in a corner. Share it with the photo, or with the color only when the photo is just for you.

ON YOUR HOME SCREEN

The today widget is your color, edge to edge, with its name. Never your photo: the home screen is seen by whoever is next to you.

ONE REMINDER, AND IT KNOWS WHEN TO STOP

A single daily nudge at the time you choose, asking what color today is. It stays quiet once today has its color.
