Broadsheet for Old Reddit

Broadsheet works the moment you open it. There is no extension to find, no permission to grant, and no setup to get wrong — the reader is built in. Turn on the Safari extension too, and every Reddit link you tap anywhere on your phone opens the same way.

One price. No subscription, no advertising, and nothing held back for a later upgrade.

WHAT IT DOES: Old Reddit is dense, fast and text-first — and it was built for a 1024-pixel window. On a phone that means a shrunken desktop page with the titles cut off. Broadsheet lays it out properly: real text sizes, full-width posts, comment threads that stay readable five replies deep, and none of the sidebar furniture that has nothing to do on a phone.

It restyles the page you asked for. It does not re-host it, re-order it, or decide what you should see.

TWO WAYS TO READ • The built-in reader — open the app and you are reading. Nothing to configure. • The Safari extension — switch it on once, and Reddit links from Messages, Mail or any other app open in the same layout.

Both share one engine, so they look and behave identically.

DESIGNED TO BE READ • Warm paper by day, a true dark mode by night, and a black mode for OLED screens • Every colour pair measured for contrast, not eyeballed • Comment threads with clear depth, so long discussions stay followable • Noisy subreddit styling switched off by default — and switchable back on • Promoted posts and app-install banners out of the way • Full support for iPad, in every orientation

PRIVATE BY DEFAULT Broadsheet collects nothing. No analytics, no tracking, no account with us, and no reading history leaves your device. The app has no server of its own to send anything to.

HONEST ABOUT ONE THING Reddit now asks most visitors to sign in before reading old.reddit.com. Broadsheet cannot remove that — nobody can. What it does is recognize it and tell you plainly what happened, instead of leaving you on a page that looks broken. Sign in once and it stays out of your way.

Broadsheet is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Reddit, Inc.
