CrowdWire is messaging that works with no signal. Chat, talk, and find your friends at festivals, campsites, and shows, even when your phone says "No Service".

Phones running CrowdWire connect straight to each other over Bluetooth and pass messages along, phone to phone, until they reach your friends. The bigger the crowd, the farther your messages travel. CrowdWire is designed with privacy in mind: messages, voice, and locations are encrypted on your phone, and only the intended recipients can read them. Phones passing them along cannot, and neither can we.

Stay connected with no bars You don't need cell service or Wi-Fi. Every CrowdWire phone nearby helps carry your messages, so your crew stays in touch even where the network gives up.

Group chat or direct message Make a crew for the people you came with, up to 16 of you, and invite them with a QR code or a link. Chat with the whole crew, or message one friend just between the two of you. You can see when your message is delivered, and how many of your crew it has reached.

All your chats in one place Crews and friends are all in one place, with the newest messages first, so you never miss a beat. Pin the chats that matter, mute the ones that don't, and search every message.

No sign-up needed No phone number, no email, no password. Pick a name, add a photo if you like, and you're in.

Talk to your crew via walkie-talkie Hold the button and talk. Your crew nearby hears you right away, and no one else can: your voice is encrypted with your crew's key before it leaves your phone.

Find your friends in the crowd Share your location with your crew, and CrowdWire points the way to each friend, with how far away they are and what they're near, like "near Main Stage". CrowdWire works with Siri, so you can also ask Siri to find your crew.

Meet up on the festival map It's simple: download your festival's map if it's on CrowdWire and set up your crew before you go, and you're all set. Stages, water, medical tents, and exits, all saved on your phone. Hold the map to set a meeting spot, and everyone in your crew gets an arrow to it. Organizers can send updates, like a set running late, that reach you even with no signal.

Check in with one tap Send a flare: "Come find me", "On my way", "All good", or "Need a hand". "Come find me" and "Need a hand" also show your crew where you are.

Send an SOS to your crew Hold the SOS button to alert your crew with your location. It keeps repeating until you end it, shows you who has seen it and who is on the way, and gets through even if they've muted your chat. Siri can open it for you, too. CrowdWire alerts your crew. It does not contact emergency services.

When you do have signal Your messages can also travel over the internet, so friends on the other side of the site, or back home, still get them. They stay encrypted end to end. You can turn this off in Settings.
