MendTrue is a photo preservation desk for pictures you want to keep—not an automatic authenticity filter.

Start in the Repair Guide. Six bundled before-and-after studies show the kinds of details worth checking: faces, handwriting, original texture, background lines, and period clues. Each study has a specific question and an inspection note. The examples work without uploading a personal photo.

In the Studio, choose a focused repair such as old-photo restoration, scratches, blur, fading, glare, denoising, or object removal with a brush. The editing request favors restrained changes; colorization and creative reinterpretation require an explicit choice. A reference photo and more precise controls are available when needed.

Inspect a result in split view, switch between original and result, and zoom into details without cropping the source to a fixed frame. If you want to keep the repair, pair the original and result in the private on-device Casebook. Mark your own checks for people, text, edges and texture; add a note; then export a review card or the result image. These marks are personal notes, not a certificate of authenticity.

Crop, convert, resize, compress and remove metadata entirely on your device. Local tools work offline. A one-time 10-credit guest preview is available without an account.

AI repair may estimate missing visual detail. Keep the original; do not use generated content as forensic or historical evidence. Casebook items remain in this app on your device and are excluded from cloud backup, so save anything you want elsewhere before deleting the app.
