Dotpress turns a photograph into a one-color halftone plate on your Mac. Import an image or try the included example, then adjust dot pitch, screen angle, contrast and exposure while the proof updates. Compare the source and finished plate side by side. Choose warm paper or a transparent background, then export a full-size PNG or a vector SVG made of editable circles.
Your images are processed on your Mac. Dotpress remembers the last image you selected with a local file bookmark, and stores your settings in local preferences. It has no account, subscription, ads, analytics or developer-operated network service.
Dotpress creates one-color black ink plates. It does not perform CMYK separations or prepare printer-specific spot-color files. Check the exported dimensions and your printer’s requirements before production.
