Paintomic

Paintomic is a practical digital tool for painters and illustrators, designed to support real drawing and painting, whether working from life or in the studio.

Use Paintomic to observe, simplify and analyze your subject before and during your work. Its visual tools help you make clearer decisions about composition, values, color, shape and palette without replacing the traditional painting process.

With Paintomic you can:

• Analyze composition and framing • Simplify an image into large masses • Study values and tonal relationships • Analyze the colors present in your reference image • Generate and explore color palettes from your image • Build and customize your own painting palettes • Study individual colors and color relationships • Compare warm and cool color temperatures • Adjust and prepare visual references for painting or drawing

Paintomic helps you understand an image before you begin painting, breaking it down into useful visual information such as values, masses, color relationships and palette structure.

You can also create and customize practical painting palettes, making it easier to connect the colors you observe in an image with the physical colors you use while painting.

Paintomic is designed to be quick and unobtrusive, so you can use digital technology as a tool for observation, analysis and preparation while keeping your attention on the real work: drawing and painting.

Whether you are painting outdoors, working from a model, sketching on location or developing a piece in the studio, Paintomic helps you see your subject more clearly and make more informed visual decisions.
