Portproof Cable Signoff

Portproof helps a low-voltage installer close out a small site's physical patch-panel record. Create a job with 12, 24, or 48 ports per panel. On each port, enter the cable ID, room, wall-outlet label and optional service. Mark it not checked, verified or needing work, with a specific issue note.

The panel faceplate makes every port's state visible. Portproof flags repeated cable IDs and repeated room/outlet assignments, and a port counts as resolved only after it has the required labels, a manual verified state and no duplicate assignment. Work through the open-items list, then share a named multipage PDF commissioning sheet or an escaped CSV port schedule. Job, panel and port records remain editable and saved locally. New installs begin empty.

Portproof is a manual documentation tool. It does not scan a network, control a cable tester, prove continuity, certify TIA/ISO compliance, or replace an onsite test. The technician must verify real connections using their own equipment and process. No account, subscription, advertising, analytics, tracking, cloud sync or developer upload. Data stays on your device unless you share a generated file.
