Av Cedric FOWOUE WOUTBE · Foto och videoDärför förväntar vi oss mycket av den: A clear, privacy-first player with strong format support and a well-explained promise to keep videos on-device.
Kort sagt
NGXSP Video plays videos already stored on your device, in your photo library, or on your own servers such as Jellyfin, WebDAV, DLNA and UPnP. It suits people who want a local player with no account, ads, tracking or subscription. One standout is that playback resumes where you left off and can move between devices, including AirPlay and Chromecast.

NGXSP Video plays the videos you already own.
Nothing to create, nothing to pay, no account: drop your files in and watch.
YOUR VIDEOS, WHEREVER THEY COME FROM • The app's own folder, where you drop files from Files or from your computer • Your photo library, for the films and recordings kept there • Your own servers: Jellyfin, WebDAV, DLNA and UPnP • Adaptive HLS and DASH streams
WHAT IT TAKES TO REALLY WATCH • SRT and WebVTT subtitles, including a file sitting next to the video • Chapters, audio tracks, quality selection • Every video starts again where you left it • Films and series are recognised, with episodes following on
ON THE BIG SCREEN • Send the picture over AirPlay or to a Chromecast • Move playback from one device to another without losing your place
WHAT THE APP DOES NOT DO No account. No advertising. No tracking. No subscription. Your videos stay on your device and on your servers — they go nowhere else.
NGXSP Video runs on open components, and the libraries it is built on are published openly.
